We used Activated Charcoal because it is a good and gentle exfoliator choice for delicate skin. Charcoal is known for its ability to absorb and draw out oil from the skin. In particular, activated charcoal is fantastic for oily skin. Its ability to absorb oil and dirt from pores leaves skin feeling balanced. The antibacterial properties of activated charcoal, however, may help lift bacteria from the pores. This may help with reducing acne and improving overall skin complexion. Its also balances oily skin and shrinks large pores.

"We decided to leave the consistency of the formula as "thin and wet" to preserve the all natural integrity of the ingredients. We felt that adding addition thickeners will take away from the nutrients, and the products are more effective in their natural state"

African Black Soap Side Effects
The main side effect of African black soap may be that it can dry out your skin too much. This side effect is more noticeable in the first week of use; however, your skin should adjust and any signs of skin flaking or peeling should resolve themselves after a couple of weeks. In any case, make sure to apply a natural moisturizer after using it.
African black soap can also cause an allergic reaction, in people allergic to its ingredients, so it’s best to do a skin patch test first.
"We decided to leave the consistency of the formula as "thinner and wet" to preserve the all natural integrity of the ingredients, which is also why the product may have a separation affect; just shake before use. We felt that adding additional thickeners will take away from the nutrients, and the products are more effective in their natural state"
